Speaking The Outreach Language Through Partnership During Covid

Liberia (officially the Republic of Liberia), is a country on the West African coast. It is bordered by Sierra Leone to its northwest, Guinea to its north, Ivory Coast to its east, and the Atlantic Ocean to its south and southwest. It has a population of around 5 million and covers an area of 111,369 square kilometers (43,000 sq mi). English is the official language, but over 20 indigenous languages are spoken, reflecting the country’s ethnic and cultural diversity. The country’s capital and largest city is Monrovia.

Following the lockdown measures due to the pandemic that hit the world (Covid-19) reports of rape and other forms of domestic violence amongst children and women have increased and account for a large number of all, the covid19 related cases reported from communities across the counties in Liberia.

HEAL partnered with THINK Liberia, and other members of the Liberia Child Rights NGO Coalition. The target groups for the outreach 3,000 direct beneficiaries and 2,500 indirect beneficiaries (people living with disabilities 500 persons, single parent households 500 families, orphanages 50 homes, safe homes 2 facilities, elderly citizens 500 persons, and  unemployed citizens 500 persons).

Our society will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in, let’s not forget caring has the gift of making the ordinary special.
